How to select list within list [on hold]
I'm trying to figure out how to select one element from a list per iteration of a for loop. For example: names = [[Bill, John],[Trevor, Angela],[Steve, Joe]] I'd like, down the road in future functions, to be able to len the lists individually and print both the original sublist and the len in one line, as well as a return true/false statement. How would I go about selecting just one list within the larger list to do all of this with?
Selecting an element from a list, or iterating over the elements of a list, is the same no matter what types those elements are: names would be the first element of names (in this case, [Bill,John]), while for name in names: will loop over the elements of names, assigning each to name in turn.
